looks good to me!


(but IMO these things are ultimately the conference committee's
call. we can do what graphics we like for the 5.0.1 non-FOSS4G
edition but right now this is their gig and they're paying for
it. since the desktop is just swapping out a .png IMHO it's only
to late to change it once Alex starts the final/master build.
only technical thing I'd ask is that a 1" band at the bottom,
and the NW quadrant, be kept clear to avoid overlap with the
bottom OSX-alike autohide bar and the desktop icons. the weird
blue face on the ISO edition boot screen is the main one I'd
like to see replaced with a fullscreen + half-transparent OSGeo
compass logo. I have little fear of users not being exposed to
the "OSGeo"ness of it all, I more worry about over-exposure if
anything.)

ps- if an all-white background hurts you eyes, we've installed
'xcalib' on the disc, to dim 20% run: 'xcalib -a -co 80'   :)
