I've just forwarded this email to all OSGeo-Live project contact points.
If anyone is lurking on this list looking for ways in which to help, you
can volunteer to become the point of contact / maintainer for one of the
following applications installed on OSGeo-Live:
So far, I haven't been able to get in touch with:
* mapguide
* ossim
We'd love to include the following package if we could find a maintainer
to take it on:
* worldwind
We are looking for someone to take over the maintainer role for the
following projects:
* gdal (installed by other applications, but not written up)
* osm (Open Street Map)
* Viking
* zygrib

Hello OSGeo-Live project leads,
Thank you everyone who has been getting back to me with an email like,
"Thanks for the reminder, I intend to be finished by XXX."
Even better has been when you have been updating our spreadsheet as
well. I've found my role has become one of trying to keep track of all
46 applications on OSGeo-Live and these prompt responses have been very
helpful and save me a lot of time.
This is email is a gentle reminder that in one week, on 31 January 2011,
we have a feature freeze for applications on OSGeo-Live.
What we expect to have in place for the feature freeze is:
* Install Script is updated so that it installs the latest stable
release of your application. [1]
* Overview and Quickstart docs updated to reflect new version number,
and possibly mention new features. [2]
* The version of the application to be installed has been updated in our
status spreadsheet. [3]
* Status of docs updated in the spreadsheet once complete to "4.5draft",
ready for the docs to be reviewed. [3]
You are receiving this email because we have you down as a Project
contact point for one of the OSGeo-Live projects. If you should not be
on this list, please let me know. [3]
