Comment:

 to make things easier to find I put symlinks to all of the geotiff and
 shapefile caches I could find on the disk into the ~/data/ dir. (many
 under vector/ or raster/)

 It would be nice to revisit the idea of adding a menu item to a file
 browser in the next release.
