Comment:

 it's not that it was removed, it was that it was never installed due to a
 dpkg lock file in place during setup.sh when the base packages are being
 installed. maybe another package manger or update daemon was running in
 the background at the time.

 the beta5 build needs to be entirely regenerated, sorry.
