Alex, we agree with you about reservations with registration required
for acces to a software.
Therefore, as 'Software Publico Brasil' requires mandatory registration,
we have created a 'mirror' and a web page on the site where we gvsig
translating English and Spanish the main documentation. All this with
the agree of SPB.

It was my mistake to send the proposal while the link
(https://gvsig.org/web/projects/i3Geo) it's not public yet. And i'm
sorry about that. We believe that in a couple of days will be public
this link.

Besides having the installation instructions (now in Portuguese), we
have created a .deb that we will send you. (I don't know if we have to
send .deb to this list too?)
