the overview pages are always re-reviewed for each
release of the live DVD. see the google docs
spreadsheet Cameron mentioned earlier.

if such a "Last edited on $Date$" text was wanted
on the live DVD overview pages, it would be easily
possible, since I've activated the svn keyword for
it on all the ReST docs on the live DVD:
  svn propset svn:keywords "Author Date Id" "$file"

the question is, is it wanted? Going back to the
osgeo web page overview for GRASS, it is likely
last edited some years ago, but it's all still
relevant. So "last edited ~2009" would look abandoned
but in this case unjustly, & so better to say nothing
about it at all?
