I do keep an eye on those (Since I use them regularly), typically they
do not carry any of the spatial packages. Also it's better to build
rgdal, rgeos etc against the versions we ship which come from ubuntugis
and not the main ubuntu (r-cran packages would be built against the
stock repos).
