Hi,

Sorry no ideas about the sphinx issue other than what a web search
could turn up, but more efficient than downloading nightly ISO builds
to check the results is to check the nightly* doc build online,

 http://adhoc.osgeo.osuosl.org/livedvd/

[*] actually that runs every 6 hours right now; it will run more
often closer to the release time.
