[Oskari-user] Installing Oskari Map Application using EPSG:3067 as a default coordinate system

Hello,

I removed the contents of the geoserver_data folder and set the coordinate
system to EPSG:3067 using http://localhost:8080/setup. After that
Geoserver’s native SRS is set to EPSG:3067. Thank you.

Hi,

If you have the GeoServer address and credentials setup in
oskari-ext.properties you can delete the contents of the geoserver_data
folder under Jetty to get rid of the pre-populated configuration. Then after
starting Jetty go to http://localhost:8080/setup. You will see one text
field and a button. Type in EPSG:3067 and click the button. This will
configure GeoServer with everything Oskari needs and set the native
projection. It will also advice you if you need to change something in
oskari-ext.properties regarding myplaces, analysis or userlayers.

Note that after you have done this you will want to move the setup.war from
under Jetty webapps so users won't be able to access it. The setup webapp is
a bit experimental and not very pretty but it's the simplest way to
configure GeoServer for Oskari and it's included in the download from
oskari.org. Also note that it uses the GeoServer REST API for configuration
and probably won't work with other GeoServer versions than the bundled one
as the GS API has changed since.

Would be nice if someone developed the setup further for other aspects of
Oskari as well :)

BR,

       Sami

Good morning!

Has Sami some ideas on this? I have been on on vacation, so sorry for the
delay in answering. I have also heard some similar problems with projections
in another case, so it would be great to document this better.

Sanna

Hello,

I am installing Oskari Map Application using pre-installed environment with
these instructions: http://oskari.org/documentation/backend/setup-jetty

However, I want to set default coordinate system to EPSG:3067 and set it to
oskari-ext.properties before starting the start.jar (java -jar start.jar)
but when I log in to pre-installed Geoserver I can see that the Native SRS
is EPSG:4326. How can I set the default coordinate system to EPSG:3067 so
that Oskari Map installation process creates oskaridb database tables and
geoserver Layers compatible to EPSG:3067 coordinate system? Thank you for
your help!
