[Oskari-user] Custom infobox popup contents and style

Great! However you might want to move any custom CSS definitions to ”overwritten.css” in the app directory or link another CSS-file on the HTML is you have a customized version. Not sure which version of Oskari you are using but the latest versions support separating app-specific frontend code to another repository. This should be very helpful when you want to update the Oskari version and lets you clearly see what’s customized on your app (also managing it in version control separate from Oskari code). There’s a brief description how to do this on an earlier message in the list: https://lists.osgeo.org/pipermail/oskari-user/2019-January/000131.html

Hi Sanna,

Thank you for your reply. I edited file ”Oskari/resources/css/portal.css” to create custom style for infobox popup content. Also learned that using Oskari RPC it is possible to create customized content for infobox popup content.

Hi Keijo!

Related to this issue, we examined a possibility to create a tool for modifying your own datasets and the attribute dialog in Oskari: http://www.gispo.fi/en/news/donate-to-oskari-myplaceimport-development/

Also I think the only way for now is to use and configure the pop-up info template from the source: e.g. in GeoServer you can modify the templates for GetFeatureInfo requests and choose which attributes are shown and how. There was something about removing all the additional formating considering the templates in Oskari, or do I recall wrong. It had something to do with the fact that certain pop-up-info templates messed up with Oskari UI.

RPC could be a possibility also, there you can modify the info-pop-up the way you like. Developers might have some ideas about this more than me. Kela made their own pop-up dialogue with RPC https://www.kela.fi/palvelupisteen-haku

Interested to hear your thoughts / development on this!

Br,
Sanna
