Christine Nieman, one of our geomatics majors here at Carleton,  
recently submitted her honours thesis on free and open source  
geomatics software, including a review and a case study.  I am  
impressed with her work, and suggested to her that there would be  
community interest in the document.  She has agreed to having it  
distributed, and it can now be accessed at:
