Hello all,

As many of you know, I'm now working for Andrew Ross at FOSSLC. We're
only a couple of weeks away from our conference, SC2011 and I figure
I'd give you guys one last heads up as to what we're doing. Because of
this, and Christy's wedding the week before, we're not going to have
an August meeting unless someone else wouldn't mind organizing it.

We've gotten some impressive speakers this year, such as Mike Shaver,
a founding member of the Mozilla Foundation, and Richard Stallman of
GNU and the Free Software Foundation. Shaver will be out closing
keynote and Stallman our opening keynote. Topics are pretty broad from
PostgreSQL to Perl frameworks.

We're also putting on an OpenStreetMap mapping party on August 28th,
which is open to the public and free to attend.
http://lanyrd.com/2011/mapping-ottawa/ gives you more information
there. I haven't gotten the details from my speakers yet just what
they'll be talking about, that'll be up soon.

Hope to see some of you there!
