If someone else could do it, that'd be best. As I mentioned, I really have no time at all this summer.

I suppose this is a bad time to mention it, but I am looking to step down as soon as there is someone else to co-chair with Fabien, so it's probably best if someone else can do it. I'm not expecting to be able to make many meetings going forward, and it'd be better if someone who can regularly attend is the co-chair.

Hi Christy,

Three people attended (I wasn't able to) but I don't think this was discussed.

Andrew mentioned it will be better if one of the executive members write the letter of support. Since Fabien is not available would you be able to do it, Christy?

Was this discussed at the last meeting? Was there anyone at the last meeting?

Hi Everyone,
Just touching base on this. If possible, we could use the letter of support no later than tomorrow to count for the Washington D.C. proposal.
I can provide a template if someone wants to email me off-list.
Thanks again!

Hi Everyone,

I can provide a template that can be used for the letter of support. It might be more official coming from a co-chair, but that's up to you to decide.

Sadly I have a conflict and can't make it tonight.

Where: Washington D.C. - most likely in the Omni Shoreham HotelWhen: September 22nd to 25th with a code sprint on the 26th & 27thIt is going to be an awesome event and a lot of fun.

Sounds good.
If you need one of the co-chair to sign or write and Christy can not do it, I will be happy to deal.with that. It will simply have to wait July the 2nd. If the people meeting at the F&F before decide to do otherwise, just let me know.
Actually, please keep me posted both ways.

Thanks again everyone for the support.
On behalf of the Washington D.C. local organizing committee, we were hoping someone might be willing to write a letter of support on behalf of the OSGeo Ottawa chapter. We have a template and examples to help. Thanks in advance for considering.
For those interested in helping, there's quite a few opportunities even at this early stage. Ping me off-list and we can help you find something you find interesting and rewarding while supporting the event. Thanks again!

Thank you very much for the support. The letter of intent was officially submitted. If all goes well, the team will be invited to formally bid on FOSS4G 2014_______________________________________________
