[OWSLib-devel] OWSLib WCS 2.0.1 QGIS plugin - call for collaborations

Hello OWSLib developers,

I'm working for Rasdaman company (www.rasdaman.com - Raster database
created by Prof. Dr. Peter Baumann) which supports Web Coverage Services
(WCS) version 2.0.1 and Web Coverage Processing Service (WCPS). We have
built a plugin for QGIS version 2.x to support WCPS queries
http://rasdaman.org/browser/applications/qgis-wcps and would like to
extend this plugin with the power of OWSLib to support also with WCS
standard requests (GetCapabilities, DescribeCoverage, GetCoverage) in
this plugin.

It would be great if Rasdaman company could get help from OWSLib
developers and Plymouth Marine Laboratory (PML) -
(https://github.com/earthserver-eu/OWSLib/tree/olcl-wcs-200 and
https://github.com/earthserver-eu/OGC_WCS_tutorial) to contribute to an
opensource Python plugin for QGIS to support WCS version 2.x (current
built-in one in QGIS can only support WCS version 1.x) and even better
if this plugin (with some other OGC services: WCS, WFS, WMS) could be
used as default in QGIS in next versions.

What would you think about the ideas? Rasdaman company will be happy to
use the powerful features with expertise from OWSLib contributors to
make the opensource plugin for QGIS to work with OGC WCS, WCPS requests.
