I already wrote the parser a couple weeks ago, using Qi  (and it does more than just expressions).

It was an unpleasant learning curve, though, for someone with my level of C++/Boost experience...  Indeed, if it wasn’t for the very strong benefit of not having to add another tool to the PDAL build dependency chain, I would not have used it.
