The good point is that is is sufficient to saturate an internet connection.

I might as well point out that using the pc_explode function is a big
performance killer.
Exporting the uncompressed patch (15 Mb/s) and the points (5 Mb/s) has the
same size and same information content,
yet it is 3 times faster to export uncompressed patch.

I don't know why (memory manipulation I guess)
