There are currently no plans to.
Most people needing more dimensions usually use Pointclouds. E.g the postgis pg_pointcloud extension. Have you taken a look at that?

Hi Regina,
On an unrelated note, I’ve long wondered if there PostGIS might in the future support more than four-dimensional spatial types (XYZM)? I ask because there are applications I can think of for PostGIS where we model more than spatial-temporal dimensions, given the many dimensions that information can take.
