[Portugal] Problemas na definição do sistema de coordenadas de geotiff

Caros,

Tenho um problemita que é o seguinte:
Tenho uns Geotiffs (do IGEO) que ao fazer gdalinfo devolvem-me:

Driver: GTiff/GeoTIFF
Files: 006072Argbi_07.tif
       006072Argbi_07.tfw
Size is 8000, 10000
Coordinate System is `'
Origin = (24000.000000000000000,-280000.000000000000000)
Pixel Size = (0.500000000000000,-0.500000000000000)

  TIFFTAG_XRESOLUTION=1
  TIFFTAG_YRESOLUTION=1
  TIFFTAG_RESOLUTIONUNIT=2 (pixels/inch)

Corner Coordinates:
Upper Left  (   24000.000, -280000.000)
Lower Left  (   24000.000, -285000.000)

Center      (   26000.000, -282500.000)
Band 1 Block=8000x1 Type=Byte, ColorInterp=Red

Acontece que ao carregá-los no geoserver, ele devolve-me o erro: 
Could not list layers for this store, an error occurred retrieving them:
Unable to acquire a reader for this coverage with format: GeoTIFF

Penso que o problema está no facto do sistema de coordenadas não estar
definido: Coordinate System is `'

Ao tentar definir o sistema de coordenadas com o 
# gdalwarp -s_srs EPSG:27492 -t_srs EPSG:27492 xpto.tif
ou 
# gdalwarp -t_srs EPSG:27492 xpto.tif

o ficheiro fica com o sistema de coordenadas correctamente definido mas a
imagem é toda negro.

Será que alguém me pode ajudar?
