Olá Giovanni!
Já me apercebi que estava a trocar um _ por um - !
No entanto segui a tua sugestão e está a funcionar muito mais rápida e facilmente!
Há alguma maneira simples de fazer a actualização para as ultimas releases? Ou pelo menos para a 1.5?

a minha sugestão é de seguir um caminho mais simples.
No Ubuntu 9.10 acrescente o repositorio ppa ubuntugis-unstable e instale
com synaptic qgis 1.4; serão instalados também GRASS e obviamente gdal.
Para acrescentar o suporte para mrsid e ecw é suficiente seguir este
guia
