[Portugal] off topic, instrumento ou sensor?

Segundo as definições: sensor é algo que detecta (sente) alterações,
poderá ser um componente de um sistema; um instrumento poderá ser um
conjunto de subsistemas, embora, por exemplo, uma régua pode ser
considerada um instrumento de medida.

O Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectrometer é constituído por um
"cross-track scan mirror (whiskbroom), collecting optics, and a set of
linear detector arrays with spectral interference filters located in
four focal planes."

Assim, o "linear detector" poderá ser considerado um componente /
dispositivo / sensor. Tal como o MODIS também pode ser considerado um
instrumento de medida / dispositivo / sensor. Já o satélite Terra será
apenas um instrumento / dispositivo ( com uma determinada finalidade),
mas não um sensor ( que detecta).

Parece-me que será mais correcto chamar ao MODIS (um espectrómetro) de
instrumento (de medida).
