Luís,

Qualquer desses servidores de mapas que o Hugo referiu, ou outro como , trabalham com uma enorme quantidade de fontes de dados, onde se incluem as SHP e as layers Postgis e publicam os dados em formato WMS (pelo menos).

Depois no open layers é só chamares esses serviços WMS.

No entanto, o QGIS Mapserver que o Hugo referia é o QGIS Server, o servidor de mapas QGIS, que permite criar facilmente serviços WMS a partir dos .qgs.

O Qgis Mapserver export é um plugin para criar o mapfile do Mapserver. Não está relacionado com o QGIS Server. De qualquer das formas este plugin é útil, mas não é suficiente, há sempre necessidade de fazer ajustes directamente no mapfile.

Fizeste uma boa interpretação daquilo que pretendia. Assim sendo, quer dizer que poderei utilizar igualmente o PostGis/PostgreSQL como base de dados e depois publicar as shapefiles através do Qgis Mapserver export, não é verdade?

Olá Luís, 

Não percebo bem a tua questão... Mas de acordo com a minha interpretação, o que queres perguntar é se pode publicar shapefiles para depois usares no OpenLayers. Se é isto que perguntas, podes usar o MapServer, GeoServer ou Qgis Mapserver para publicares as tuas shapefiles sobre o formato WMS. Depois no openlayers é só fazeres os pedidos WMS como de costume.
