[Portugal] ajuda - Postgresql no ubuntu

Boas pessoal

instalei o postgreqsl no ubuntu mas não vêm com nenhum servidor
pré-definido. Quando tento criar um dá-me sempre erro.
Será que alguém me orienta na configuração (não esquecendo que sou mesmo
leigo nesta matéria de linux).
