[postgis-devel] Notify postgis-users of work in trunk?

Hi folks,

I just realised that even though I've been working hard tidying up SVN 
with the new build system etc, I don't think we made the final 
announcement on postgis-users. Is it worth a short email saying that we 
decided to go ahead with the originally posted plan, i.e. drop support 
for PostgreSQL 8.1 and make PROJ.4/GEOS compulsory dependencies for the 
build? It would be worth letting people know in advance out of 
politeness that we're planning to drop support for older versions with 
the next PostGIS major release...
