As I recall, the tests are run with the output formatting options as
follows:
\a - unaligned
\f | - use | as the field separator
\t - output rows only, ie. no table header.

Each command in the .sql file is executed using these parameters, and
the output of the entire run is compared to the _expected file using diff.
