But if you are using geos 3.0.0 it is not going to try and use prepared geometry at all correct?

OK, I've made the prepared geometry work underneath the existing API,
so the key-based API has been removed.

Make sure you have the latest GEOS before trying these things, as
anything prior to the current revision still has leaks.
