Surely, it would work for me. Shortly, I've found that for newbies it's  
difficult to
understand SRID concept while reading PostGIS manual, so to make their life  
easier
I've suggested to point to SRID definition.

For me, any option would work, linking to the Wikipedia article, or SFS  
chapter or
even providing some SRID overview directly included in the PostGIS manual.
