Yes, but then we still need the beta, the RC etc. before that and 
generally we need between 1-2 weeks after a release for people to 
download and test. In terms of the freeze, Olivier did the right thing 
to ask on -devel. But the acceptance of the patch shouldn't just be 
solely based upon the fact that we intend to release in a month's time.

I remember reviewing this patch last year and thinking it was reasonably 
sensible; it'll need a little work since trunk has changed since the 
original patch was submitted, but I'll +1 it based upon previous review 
(it's a small localised patch) and Olivier's general quick response to 
any issues that have arisen in the past.
