What about a FAQ file in the distribution ?

It's simple really: anyone can use postgis
commercially, and there's nothing they have to
give *back*.

IFF they want to actually *want* to give forward
a modified version of postgis (extended functionality,
performance improvements and similar) then they
are required to give it passing forward the same
freedoms they received in using postgis as a base.
