 Hmmm looks like I missed one asprintf() in the last patch - try the
 attached patch.

 Note that this still doesn't solve the problem with the encoding variable.
 Paul, what should happen to this if you're not building with iconv -
 should this section of code simply be wrapped in a #ifdef HAVE_ICONV ...
 #endif?
