What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Download postgis-1.4.0SVN.tar.gz from postgis website
2. ./configure


What is the expected output?
config.status: executing libtool commands
sed: can't read ./ltmain.sh: No such file or directory
sed: can't read ./ltmain.sh: No such file or directory
mv: cannot stat `libtoolT': No such file or directory
cp: cannot stat `libtoolT': No such file or directory
chmod: cannot access `libtool': No such file or directory


What do you see instead?
It should hmm work without error.  Mike first pointed this out in postgis
newsgroup
