 I agree with Kevin on this.  Paul I think you have gone a bit overboard.

 Why can't we set just the obvious ones that have caused problems

 _ST_DWithin, _ST_Intersects (and the other predicates).  This is really
 more of a situation problem when indexes are involved as the lower costs
 sometimes makes the index operation not happen.

 I'm also very concerned about the rate you are closing things off :).  I
 should be excited, but all I can think is "Paul, stay away from the
 caffeine".  When are we going to have time to test all this.
