 The current LWGEOM only has a BOX2DFLOAT4 as bounds, and a GBOX will
 provide a place for holding multidimensional extents. This will allow the
 geodetic functions to rationalize a bunch of code where both LWGEOM and
 GBOXes are currently required as input parameters.
