 I think you are right. It would be more desriptive name for the usual
 usecase.
 I was a little afraid to try to introduce that many new functions
 :-)[[BR]]

 The reason for these functions would be for the vocabulary only, because
 it will give no better performance. Both points will be identified anyway
 in the process of finding the one of interest.[[BR]]

 As you say it will also be the right choise to use shortest longest line
 when you need both because it will do the job for both points in the same
 time as closest furthest needs each.


 So I agree, for vocabulary reasons.
 Should I put it on TODO-list?
