[postgis-devel] error when loading postgis template ?

Hi all,

everybody stand back: I know German :-)

In the mentioned thread the opener reports more errors which could / or 
could not be related to the NOTICES:

"Erstelle ich in der DB eine Tabelle mit Geometrietyp, wird in der 
Tabelle geometry_columns kein passender Eintrag angelegt."

Means (roughly): If I try to create a table with a column of type 
geometry, no row is added to geometry_columns

"Was könnte hier der Fehler sein? Bisher habe ich das Ubuntupaket von 
PostGIS verwendet. Jetzt möchte ich aber gerne schon PostGIS 1.5 testen. 
Gibt es schon ein Ubuntupaket für die neuste Version von PostGIS?"

Means (roughly): What could be the source of that error? Up until now I 
always used the Ubuntu packages of PostGIS, but now I want all the shiny 
things they have in 1.5. Is there a Ubuntu-package with 1.5 somewhere?

"Kann man die Funktionsfähigkeit testen?"
Means (roughly): How can I test if everything works as expected in my 
install?
