I just did a test run of astyle on the code base and there's a
surprising number of files that got changed. Folks need to be careful
to try and follow the guidelines and set your editors to respect them.
In particular, there's lots of places where things have been changed
to space from tabs, probably automatically by editors, since we
haven't touched *that* much code.

Thoughts on astyling everything again at 1.5.0?
