Comment:

 I'm not sure if this is the same as my issue, but I finally successfully
 built on my Open SUSE 10.3 and got thru the make checks, but it crashes on
 the clean test.

 I'm running PostGIS trunk  and GEOS 3.3 and all pass until the last test
 the clean tests -- output of the error file looks like below
