[postgis-devel] liblwgeom status

A quick summary on the liblwgeom work.

 1. The liblwgeom library is now built using libtool.
    Both static and dynamic libraries are built and installed.

 2. Library version is encoded to contain full postgis version,
    so that clients won't automatically link to new versions 
    w/out a rebuild. This is to be allow us to keep tweaking
    the structures/interfaces w/out having to maintain a separate
    set of version numbers.

 3. The liblwgeom.h header file is installed as the library
    API. This is suboptimal but will be fine for a start.
    See http://trac.osgeo.org/postgis/ticket/1159 for a future plan.

 4. There's currently _no_ client linking to liblwgeom dynamically
    within PostGIS. Possible candidates would be the loader and dumper.
