 I think this has been since the change you made to put in the debug
 feature so it doesn't print notices unless compiled with debug.

 I don't think I have debug mode enabled.  Now I get this error.

 sorry I had ignored it before since I wasn't absolutely sure it wasn't
 something I was fiddling with, but it happens on both my MingW boxes.
