 I finally got around to dustying off my raster garden tests, and was able
 to consistently crash my postgres server process with this sequence of
 tests.  It doesn't really seem to be one test in particular since each one
 run individually doesn't crash.

 But if I run them all.  As Paul would say, "BOOM! - This should never
 happen" :)
