[postgis-devel] A better ST_Segmentize

Is anybody aware of a better version of  ST_Segmentize?

I have a N link line which I want to to sub divide to Y equal length
sections, ST_segmentize will not 'lengthen segments shorter than max
length'.  I am looking for a function that will do this.

Any suggestions?

The type of function that I am looking for could for example split a semi
circular curve in N sub sections(e.g. 2 quater circles ,etc)
