Comment:

 Ok, the first issue is fixed upstream by dropping GIST_GEOMETRY_OPS, of
 course older releases won't work, unless we get back to support
 GIST_GEOMETRY_OPS, which I've understood you would scream about
 (dump/reload).

 The second issue is also fixed upstream.

 I successfully tested osm2pgsql from repo.
