 Tables and views are automatically displayed in the new geometry_columns
 view, but functions outputting a geometry column/type do not. I would like
 to have an option to manually add records to the geometry_columns view
 (using an extra table e.g. geometry_columns_inc). Of course I just hacked
 one in, but that would be less nice.
