FWIW:

Built & installed OK on OpenSuse 12.1 64 bit:

PostgreSQL 9.1.1 on x86_64-suse-linux-gnu, compiled by gcc (SUSE Linux) 4.6.2, 64-bit
 Postgis 2.0.0beta2 - r9428 - 2012-03-10 23:59:03
   GEOS: 3.3.2-CAPI-1.7.2
   PROJ: Rel. 4.7.1, 23 September 2009

Passed all regression tests (make check) for core, raster & topology:

Works OK with imposm for OSM server:
imposm --read --write --optimize -d osm --overwrite-cache newzealand.osm


General queries (so far) work OK.
