Just FYI: on Debian and Ubuntu, I created multiple packages out of the
postgis sources. A 'postgis' one is just the binaries (shp2psql et al,
which I hope to be somewhat backwards-compatible). The real extension is
named "postgresql-9.1-postgis-2.0" for example. This allows the
installation of different postgis extension versions with multiple
postgres versions.

Working properly across OS and/or Postgres migrations is much more
valuable than beauty of names, IMO.
