[postgis-devel] license question

Paul et. al,
Is there any reason we can't just remove those from our PostGIS source tree
from 2.0 onward. I looked at those files and they are pretty ancient.
1) we don't build tables in that way anymore
2) All the functions without ST_ we took out and relegated to legacy.
3) all those files are based on an older spec than what we actually follow
4) Our code doesn't even pass this suite anymore
So in my mind that suite is doing us more harm than good by including it.
