After a long time of not getting around to it, I have resurrected my
packaging attempt of postgis 2 for pkgsrc, and placed it in pkgsrc-wip
as an intermediate point. The good news is that my package of 2.0.6
with pgsql 9.1, on NetBSD 5 i386, passes make check (including the tests
that create spatial databases).
This is not really a surprise, because I submitted a number of
portability patches/bug-reports in the time leading up to 2.0. But it's
still a nice outcome, and I wanted to report it.
I am seeing that some documentation is built during "make install" vs
"make", but I haven't chased down why.
(And yes, I realize I should update the package to 2.1.)
