[postgis-devel] Cleaning up PostGIS commit hooks

I've been approved as a member of the OSGeo System Administration Committee
and now looking around to get a feel of how things are done.
One of the first things I went looking is the PostGIS SVN repository
and found that each commit currently triggers sending an email
to a "postgis-commit" mailing list hosted by Refraction (does such
a thing even exist?) and 3 calls to 3 URL in the Refraction's office
to what looks like a buildbot. I've tried those URL and all of them
leave my web browser in a waiting status for a long time.
Now my plan is:
(1) Create a postgis-commit mailing list on osgeo machines and
direct commit messages there.
(2) Drop the buildbot pings
PSC members please speakup if you see anything wrong with the above.
Regina: shall you want debbie or winnie or maybe somebody else
(pingie?) pinged on commit, just let me know ...
(with a ticket on osgeo's trac probably to be preferred).
