Such faith.  To be honest I have a bit of skepticism too, but it's good practice to get our gears in motion and have a reference tag :)

I at the very least will try to pg_upgrade from 2.4 (just renaming the 2.5 to 2.4 to make sure that hack works.  I suspect it won't and will try to fix before I release an alpha1).

Yes, I suppose +1 (though note my extreme skepticism that anyone will test this tarball except the package maintainers, who could probably wait happily until a beta)
