You think that was doable. I had no idea ln wasn't on all Nix systems.

In postgis 3.0 alpha 4, during make install the upgrade-paths-rules.mk is run. On UNIX systems that does not use GNU ln as system default this step fails : "ln -v" is not in the POSIX standard. Could it be possible to include a detection mechanism in configure to detect the proper binary to use ? On my system it is "gln" or "/usr/gnu/bin/ln"
