Oh and forgot about pgPointCloud so added that too.

Ogrfdw I was thinking of adding but it doesn’t rely on PostGIS directly.

Imre,

All very good points. I’ve amended based on your comments.

1) I’ve added a section  == Projects under PostGIS umbrella ==

and included Docker PostGIS, PostGIS Java, and PostGIS Workshop

2) In the Relationships with Other Projects

I’ve added sfcgal to the upstream projects section

and mobilitydb to the downstream list

Thanks,

Regina

Hi,

Based on the contents ( https://trac.osgeo.org/postgis/wiki/DevWikiComitGuidelines )

2 small comments:

1.)

to the "Relationship with other Projects"

- probably the https://mobilitydb.com/ can be added. ( "MobilityDB is a geospatial trajectory data management & analysis platform, built on PostgreSQL and PostGIS." )

2.)

And just a side comment:

I see mentioning:

- Core developers

- Primary repo

- Relationship with other Projects

But I don't see the relationship with the "non-core projects under the Postgis umbrella",

like the https://github.com/postgis/docker-postgis project

    imho: postgis_project=true AND core_project=false AND matured=false

Kind regards,

  Imre

( docker-postgis contributor )

I've made a number of changes to

https://trac.osgeo.org/postgis/wiki/DevWikiComitGuidelines

to hopefully modernize it. Key changes

1) Get rid of references to our old model -- such as keeping an authors.git
/ authors.svn , spike branches, and updating CREDITS file
2) Replace most references of Committer with Core Contributor or Contributor
(to address strk's sensitivities)
2) Change the term Developer to Contributor to be in agreement with our
documentation and to better value contributions beyond code.
3) Updates to how tickets and pull requests should be tagged.
5) Rename it from "PostGIS Commiter Guidelines" to "Core Contributor
Guidelines"

If everyone is okay with the changes, I'll mark as Approved.

Thanks,
Regina
